Join us! Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day ~ Monday, November 14, 2022, 8:00 AM, Mesa Park
Bolinas Stinson Students K-8, Staff and Parents - Wear Purple to show your support!
The Bolinas-Stinson School, in collaboration with Safe Routes to School and other schools across the nation, will be honoring Ruby Bridges' courage by celebrating this walk to school day. We invite parents to join us as we gather at Mesa Park before school (8:00 AM) to walk together to the Bolinas Campus.
Six year old Ruby was one of the first students to end racial segregation in the public school system. She bravely walked alone, in the face of much adversity, on her first day at the new school. We are gathering together on Monday, November 14th, at Mesa Park to celebrate her courage and help to make our schools safe and inclusive for all.
We will be providing a special bus run in lieu of the normal bus run that will pick up students and drop them off at Mesa Park at 8:00 AM to participate in this important event. If your child will NOT be participating, please drop them off at the Bolinas Campus.
