NEW INTERIM BSUSD ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN
The Board of Trustees, at the last special board meeting, clarified the timeline and structure of the BSUSD Interim Administrative Plan for the upcoming school year when John begins to transition into his new role as Marin County Superintendent. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the following administrative staffing plan and timeline.
August 2022
- MCOE will contract with BSUSD for one day of John Carroll's work week to begin his transition to Marin County Superintendent
- Michelle Stephens assumes the role of Interim Assistant Superintendent/Principal and begins training/transition to become the Interim Superintendent/Principal
- Ilie Watterson assumes the role of .5 Assistant Principal and .5 Middle School Math Teacher
January 2023
- Ilie continues in role of .5 Assistant Principal and .5 Middle School Math Teacher
- Michelle assumes the role of Interim Superintendent/Principal
- John formally assumes the role of Marin County Superintendent
August 2023
- Ilie continues in role of .5 Assistant Principal and .5 Middle School Math Teacher
- Michelle continues in the role of Interim Superintendent/Principal
- The Board of Trustees begin to gather stakeholder input and develop a sustainable BSUSD Administrative Staffing Plan that addresses school needs
March-June 2024
- Ilie continues in role of .5 Assistant Principal and .5 Middle School Math Teacher
- Michelle continues in the role of Interim Superintendent/Principal
- Board finalizes BSUSD Administrative Staffing Plan and begins the process to identify and hire needed administrative staff
July/August 2024
- New BSUSD Administrative staff is in place
VOLUNTARY COVID TESTING RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILIES BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS
Marin County Office of Education is recommending that all families participate in voluntary COVID testing before school begins. Please stop by our District Office at 125 Olema Bolinas Road, anytime between 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, Monday thru Friday, to pick up tests for your family. Thank you for your cooperation!

Stinson Campus Arrival & Dismissal Times
Pre-K and Kindergarten will be observing “A Gentle Start” early dismissal time for our youngest students as they transition back to school. The Gentle Start early dismissal times will run from Wednesday, August 17th - Friday, September 2nd. Please check our Bus Schedule on BSUSD.org for more detailed bus schedules.
Pre-K Arrival & Dismissal Times
- Arrival for 3 & 4 year olds: 9:00 AM
- Dismissal for 3 year olds: 12:30 PM
- Gentle Start Early Dismissal for 4 year olds: 1:30 (from Wednesday, August 17 - Friday, September 2, 2022)
- Regular Dismissal for 4 year olds: 2:30 PM on M,T,Th,F; 1:30 on Wednesdays. Regular schedule begins Tuesday, September 6, 2022 (Monday is Labor Day, No School)
Kindergarten Arrival & Dismissal Times
- Arrival for all kindergarteners: 8:30 AM, School begins at 8:35 AM
- Gentle Start ~ Early Dismissal for Kindergarteners: 1:50 (from Wednesday, August 17 - Friday, September 2, 2022)
- Regular Dismissal times below for kindergarten begins Tuesday, September 6, 2022 (Monday is Labor Day, No School)
- Monday and Friday Dismissal from Stinson Campus: 2:50 PM

- Arrival for Grades 2-8: 8:15-8:30 AM (Bell Rings)
- School Begins: 8:30 AM
- Dismissal on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:05 PM
- *Wednesday Early Dismissal for Staff Articulations Day: 2:05 PM
- *Early dismissal days are an important time for staff to meet, plan, and participate in professional development activities to provide the best educational experience for our students.

We have been hard at work updating our website and our district's mobile app! You can download the newest version of our BSUSD App, available on both android and iPhone platforms. We want our website to be easy to use and and helpful for our students, staff, and families. Please let us know if something is missing or not working for you.
