Grade Level Expectations In Technology

a. Kindergarten Through Third Grade

• Provide familiarity with computer uses and components
• Use programs and reinforce and identify basic skills

b. Fourth Through Fifth Grades

• Learn basic keyboarding, set wpm goal
• use software and CD-ROM's for research, correspondence (email) and for expansion and reinforcement of academic skills

c. Sixth Through Eighth Grades

• Use the Internet as a research tool
• Learn word processing and spread sheet skills
